WSI/Canterbury Romney Limited Conference, Queenstown, 28-29 May 2011

Ashburton-based woolgrower group Canterbury Romney Limited comprises around 400 farmers throughout the South Island producing wool with an export value of around $10 million per annum. WSI has sourced wool from Canterbury Romney for the past ten years under a procurement system that parallels the Purelana Supply initiative. The two systems represent the core supply for the company's branded marketing strategy. Each year WSI and Canterbury Romney meet to discuss possible improvements to our business practices and relationship. This year the meeting was a weekend retreat in Queenstown in late May. Discussions were positive, focusing on how to advance Canterbury Romney and Purelana's systems and future activities.
 

 Domotex Shanghai, 22-24 March 2011

WSI secured a premium position to showcase New Zealand strong wool at the high-profile Domotex flooring exhibition in Shanghai. The event attracted attracted a record attendance of over 40,000 Chinese and international manufacturers, architects, designers and other industry professionals. WSI’s stand, located by the main entrance of the massive exhibition, in the first of a total of 13 halls all displaying floor coverings, atrracted a huge amount of interest in its New Zealand wool.
